Hello, I have recently encountered an error while trying to use After Effects. After Effects not working after Windows 10 update. After updating Windows10 in the morning, After Effects is not working anymore. It starts and opens, but I cannot click on anything. Reinstalling didn't help. The message says that Mfplat.dll is missing. If you have encountered such error please do the below steps which fixed me the error and here are the guidelines on how to fix Mfplat.dll missing error on Windows 10 N version?

Usually, this pack is installed automatically by the program which requires it or during Windows updates. Although, some installers may not include Media Future pack. The main reason why you may encounter Mfplat.dll missing error is that your computer is using Windows N. This version of the operating system does not include Microsoft Media Future pack by default. Thus, users are informed about missing the Mfplat.dll file and prevented from using specific applications. For those who haven't figured it out yet, here's what worked for me.

1. Download appropriate media feature pack. Find the proper version here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3145500/media-feature-pack-list...

2. Run command prompt as admin. Enter this command:

dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:MediaPlayback

3. Restart pc. Pr and Ae should run by now.
